ABOUT THE ROLE

The Finance and Strategy division is seeking a Senior Risk Manager responsible for implementing and maintaining effective risk management practices across Port Capacity Enhancement Program (PCEP).

 

Reporting to the Head of Program Controls, the role will work closely with the PCEP Head of Program Controls, the Head of Infrastructure - Delivery Growth Projects, the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and PoM Head of Risk, to embed consistent risk management practices across all program workstreams throughout the program lifecycle. The role will ensure that program risks are systematically identified, assessed, managed, monitored, and reported in alignment with the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF).

 

What you will be doing:

 

  • Implement and maintain risk management processes for PCEP in accordance with the organisation’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework and policies.
  •  Develop and maintain the PCEP Risk Management Plan aligned with enterprise risk management requirements and program governance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Infrastructure Delivery - Growth Projects and other broader PCEP workstreams lead and their team in identifying all PCEP risks
  • Facilitate risk identification workshops with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Work with project managers and/or risk owners to develop appropriate risk mitigation and treatment plans.
  • Work closely with the Project Controls team to ensure risk information informs cost forecasting, schedule management, and contingency planning

 

The successful applicant will have:

  • Relevant qualifications in project management, engineering, construction management, or risk management.
  • Over 10 years’ experience on large scale infrastructure projects;
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk within major infrastructure or construction programs. Experience on large-scale port, transport, logistics, or marine infrastructure projects, is desirable
  • Strong understanding of project risk management methodologies and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and maintaining risk registers for complex projects.
  • Demonstrable ability in using Cost Management estimating techniques, software and databases including 3-point estimates and Monte Carlo risk-based cost estimation
  • Ability to support quantitative risk analysis (QRA) for schedule and cost risk.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation capability.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage executives and senior leaders with superior written and verbal skills.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining practical change management tools, templates and frameworks that are usable by the business.
