ABOUT THE ROLE
We have an exciting opportunity in our People & Culture team for an experienced Change Management Lead
Reporting to the EGM People & Culture, the role will be accountable for owning and operationalising the Port of Melbourne enterprise change management framework, ensuring consistent, high quality change delivery across programs, projects and BAU change. The role will act as the custodian of change methodology, tools, governance and capability, working closely with P&C, PMO, IT, Risk and business leaders throughout the business.
What you will be doing:
- Own, operate and continuously improve Port of Melbourne’s enterprise change management framework, standards, templates and guidance to ensure consistent application across programs, projects and BAU change.
- Design, operate and continuously improve enterprise change governance, including decision rights, escalation pathways, assurance checkpoints and integration with PMO, IT and Risk governance.
- Partner with the PMO to embed change management requirements into project lifecycle stages, assurance processes and delivery standards.
- Design and deliver practical change management training, workshops and enablement sessions for leaders, project managers and change leads.
- Partner closely with People and Culture to support P&C‑led change initiatives, including system implementations, process redesign and people or structural changes.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience leading and enabling organisational change across complex, operational environments.
- Demonstrated experience working within enterprise change governance models, including prioritisation, assurance, escalation and reporting to executive and steering committees.
- Proven experience integrating change management into PMO, IT delivery and risk management frameworks rather than operating as a standalone discipline.
- Experience supporting large‑scale people, process, system and operating model changes, including restructures and workforce transitions.
- Demonstrated capability designing and delivering change management training, workshops and leader enablement programs.
- Strong experience developing and maintaining practical change management tools, templates and frameworks that are usable by the business.
- Experience designing change dashboards and providing clear, decision‑ready reporting to executive and governance forums such as TIOSG.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, with the ability to influence senior leaders and work effectively across diverse functions.
Please Note: Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted, and applicants must have full working rights in Australia and already be residing in the country.
